Celebrating Memorial Day Weekend
Have you ever had one those months when you just couldn’t wait for it to end? Well, May has been one of those months for me. It seems like almost each week, there was something else negative happening. I do believe that we all have cycles of luck, joy and pain, but this month has been ridiculous. I originally thought it was going to be a smoothe ride and I could coast into the summer and everything would be good. Well I was waaayyy wrong. Nothing life threatening, but stuff that doesn’t seem like much until you start adding them up and you see a pattern.
Here are some examples: We registered our son for a swimming class at 7am and they told us that we were first on the waiting list. The family before us is in their good cycle, I guess. Or I always get in the lane of traffic that is stopped, but it doesn’t stop until I switch to that lane because it was moving 10 seconds ago. Now, I running late. Or better yet, just before we were about to have a cookout, our refridgerator died and when we got it fixed a week later the repair man damn near charged us for a new one. And work…don’t get me started.
I hope the cycle is only 30 days because it feels like I should be at the end of it. It wouldn’t be funny, but what if GOD intends for my cycle of unfortunate circumstances to last longer? Well I just hope that isn’t the case because I’m having a hard time sleeping wondering what is going to happen next. Memorial Day can’t get here soon enough. Now, I just have to make it through the weekend.
